Bio: After singing in the fifth grade talent show my teacher suggested that I get involved in theatre, so I enrolled in Anita's 2002 summer camp and stayed there until 2006. I was a member of Broadway Bound, my favorite roles being Iago in "Disney's Aladdin Jr." and Scott in "Dear Edwina Jr." I also took four years of dance at the studio. I then continued my love for theatre at Stevenson High School and then the Warren Consolidated School of Performing Arts. Aside from several high school productions I was also involved in community, professional, and national productions. I now attend the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University in Saint Louis where I will be graduating with a BFA in Musical Theatre in 2013.
Anita's to Real World: I established a deep and passionate love for theatre during my years at Anita's. Before I went to Anita's I had only seen a few plays, so really it was my introduction to the wonderful world of theatre. At that studio I was given the building blocks that have served as my foundation as I continue to hone my craft. My young curious mind was nurtured in an enthusiastic and positive environment where I was encouraged to explore and have as much fun as possible. I made many lasting friendships and several of my best friends today I met at Anita's. To this day I have never had as much fun doing a show as I had doing "Fiddler on the Roof Jr." Since those days at the studio I've worked with professional actors and directors training to become a professional actor, and aside from the several tools I was given by the teachers at Anita's I stick close to three important lessons I learned there: The first, that above anything else my job as an actor is to tell a story. The second, that no matter how rigorous my training may be I must always maintain that sense of play I had creating worlds with my friends at Anita's. And the third, I do theatre because it is fun! I am grateful to Anita's for the foundation they gave me as an actor and for the fond memories that I will always carry with me.
